The 1950’s - Best-Rite was founded in Temple, Texas as a division of American Desk with a primary focus of providing the top quality chalkboards and markerboards for the educational marketplace.

The 1970’s - In 1971, investors Frank Butler and Loyd Niles acquired and incorporated Best-Rite Chalkboards. At that time, products were sold only in Texas and the surrounding geographic area from a 53,000 sq. ft. facility.

The 1990’s - Acquired by the Moore family in 1991, Best-Rite Chalkboards became Best-Rite Manufacturing. With a new name and a new business philosophy came new expansion criteria. Best-Rite Manufacturing reached outward to expand into a nationwide market. Product lines were broadened to include a complete array of visual communication products for current and new markets. Wall mounted writing boards, art display products and easels were some of the new products developed to gain a share of the office products, audio-visual/presentation, hospitality, early childhood and government markets.

Year 2000 - Best-Rite proudly opens a new 120,000 sq. ft. facility, over twice the size of the previous building. The new larger facility enables Best-Rite to add state-of-art equipment and manufacturing processes to their list of strengths. Best-Rite continues to expand its product line to satisfy customers and to develop new markets.

Year 2002 - A 48,000 sq. feet building addition increases the new Temple, Texas location to 168,000 square feet. Balt office staff members with their daily operations are relocated from Cameron, Texas to the new facility.

Year 2003 - To service their East Coast customers with improvements to freight costs and lead times, a third warehouse is added in New Jersey. Trinity Furniture, the third member of the triad of companies is moved from Jacksonville, Texas to the Temple, Texas location. Additional state-of-the art equipment and processes increase efficiency and output. The result is the full integration of the triad of three companies into one efficient operation....the BBT group.

Year 2004 - Best-Rite leads the market in service to customers by adding the most needed products into inventory. As of January 1, 2004, 75% of Best-Rite products are “In-stock” - and ready to ship within 48 hours of receipt of your order.
